A week and a half ago, it took me 3 days to put up a light fixture, which is actually a 15-minute job, if that. Why? Because I’m so out of shape I had a hard time balancing myself on the ladder, reaching up to do the wiring, and holding on to three things at a time–simultaneously. Are there any fat electricians?
So in any case, the bathroom rehab project is still going, albeit slowly. Favorite Handyman/DIY Mentor came out and installed the new light fixture/fan, and took out the toilet and the vanity top for me because I’m so not in shape enough to do that myself. And that’s not even counting all the cleanup work The Husband does because I can’t demolish AND clean up after myself (although I think both Husband and Mom would tell you that’s just how it is with me 24/7). Trash Dudes must be hating us by now.
We went to Lowe’s Saturday and bought all the construction materials. They have this nifty new fiberglass wallboard. Fiberglass and gypsum are compressed and sandwiched between two sheets of pressed fiberglass. It’s much heavier than regular sheetrock, though.
The last of the demo is still to be done. I’ll post a picture when that portion’s finished.
