The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil

What I thought would be a relatively easy and quick design has turned into a monster. No doubt it’s because I insist on couching half my design, but still. Threads won’t do what I tell them to do. Colors aren’t right. I’ve confused myself. Never mind writing instructions for what I’m doing! I have no idea when I’ll be able to release this.

Boudica

I haven’t been able to do much on this because of the Monster, but rest assured I will be most happy to get back to something that is just a bunch of crosses on a piece of fabric.

The Effervescent Designs logo

I’m doing this piecemeal, which isn’t my forte, to be quite honest. I have an ADHD kid’s focus on projects that are interesting, and I hate not doing one project from start to finish. But my logo will only be done once and no pattern will be produced for it because…who would want to stitch my logo? And if they would want to, why?

I call this my church project. I don’t have a pattern I have to look at, I can load up some needles, and I can take it to church and stitch mindlessly during Sunday School and Relief Society. It’s rude and inappropriate, but I comprehend better when my hands are engaged. I don’t figure God will mind.

And when I’m done, I’ll send it to Jill Rensel with a note that says, “Make it wonderful!”

Quickies, ornaments, and other doodlings

All I can say is, too many eye catchers and brain fillers–not enough time.
